IOT Traffic Microcirculation Management System (Intelligent Bus Management System)
Zhenjiang “smart bus” project is a model of the cooperation between Goldenet and IBM in the field of intelligent traffic. This project consists of two systems, including IOT-based smart bus information release platform and smart bus dispatching and monitoring management. The total investment of the project is 130 million yuan. After completion, the project has significantly raised the service level of bus transport in Zhenjiang.
The smart bus information release system based on IOT architecture establishes a complete bus information acquisition, transmission, processing and release service and management platform by relying on urban bus stops and making full use of dedicated short-range data communication technology, embedded real-time computer control technology, LED safe display control technology, wireless communication technology and other technical means, integrates functions such as: stop announcement, information release, monitoring and safety protection, raises safety intelligence level of the operation of the bus company and realizes intelligent management of drivers, vehicles and equipment. The smart bus dispatching and monitoring management system is an integrated high-tech system based on DVB technology, wireless mobile communication network, GPS network, Internet and other technologies. It uses GPS technology, high-frequency radio technology, sensor technology, computer software and hardware technology and relevant electronic display technology as technical means, sends vehicle status information (including position, speed, direction, passenger traffic volume, vehicle status, etc.) back to the management center, and applies GIS software platform, data scheduling management and Internet communication to realize full-course real-time bus monitoring, intelligent dispatching and management, automatic voice announcement, IC card information and video signal wireless transmission, help and alarm handling, and real-time conversion.
This project completed installation and commissioning of a system covering 507 bus stops and 1000 buses. By applying wireless communication technology, the system is connected to stops and vehicle-mounted systems of operating vehicles, remotely monitors operating vehicles in real time, makes timely dispatching according to the operating conditions of the routes to raise efficiency, and conducts real-time information release and control through intelligent platform management.
